The kernel

The portfolio keeps three kinds of knowledge, and conflating them is how a substrate rots. A fact is terse and decays. An argument is dated and can be overturned. A narrative is laid out, and it accumulates. Each has its own home:

  The raw memory corpus — problem, detection, fix. For recall. Verify at source; it ages.
• argumenteditorial
  The field note — a dated position, tested in the open. Supersede-able by a better one.
• narrativekernel.gf.cx
  The strategic spine — the few frames that carry the weight. Fed by the notes that proved out.

There is a pathway between them. A gotcha stays terse. When the reasoning behind it matters, the narrative grows. When an argument gets big enough to defend as a stance, it graduates to an editorial field note — dated, testable. And when a note survives its test, it folds back here.

The archive is the river's bed. The field notes are its tributaries. The kernel is the river.
